TEXT BOOK:
Smith, J.G., General, Organic and Biological Chemistry, 5th Edition, McGraw Hill, New York, 2022
There are three (3) options available in the bookstore. You need only purchase one! Pick which will best meet your needs. The three options are...
- (ISBN# 9781307703313: CCP Custom Textbook ONLY)
- (ISBN# 9781307703306: CCP Custom Textbook with Connect/ALEKS)
- (ISBN# 9781264247868: ALEKS and eBook access)
- ALEKS is the publisher's virtual textbook, homework, and study platform. While we will NOT have any official assignments in ALEKS, you are welcome to use it as a study tool.
- The publisher has an older virtual textbook platform called Connect that is being phased out. If you purchase a textbook with a Connect code, please let me know and we will replace it with a usable ALKES one.
- Again, students need only buy one version of the textbook. Purchase whichever version will be best for you!
- The CCP Custom Textbook sold in the bookstore may list “O’Connor” as the author. O’Connor is the last name of the CCP course coordinator (me!). This is still the correct text.
- Amazon and the Publisher also rent textbooks!
- Note that the ISBN may differ from the College's edition. The College version is customized to CCP and may be used for CHEM 101/103 and CHEM 102/104.
