For the Animal Rescue Database is recommended that students only participate in one of the four Database Design tasks listed below.
Students can have a little fun with this topic. The whole point is not to get too engrossed in doing more than what is necessary. My recommendation is to only develop a database that supports only a portion of the tasks illustrated in the assignment requirements. My recommendation is to only develop a solution that has three to five tables in the final result. Of course, you can indulge yourself if you think that you have time in your schedule to do more. However, it will be more practical to deliver something that you can handle, and that will increase your probability of getting a better grade.
To assist in helping students keep their work schedule to a minimum, I separated segments of the project into different Labeled Tasks. It is recommended that students only participate in a single Labeled Task listed below
Assignment Requirements
A Non-Profit Animal Rescue Organization whats to computerize and digitally store the data and information that they gather to use to improve how they operate.
Some analysts were sent to gather information on the requirements to start the process of designing and implementing a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) for the Non-Profit Animal Rescue Organization. Below is the list of the requirements to make a contribution to designing and implementing the Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) for the Non-Profit Animal Rescue Organization.
The First Call Task
The Agency receives a call from a donator indicating that they are no longer able to maintain the pet. The Agency wants to obtain the basic donator information. They need to get the name, address, phone number, and email of the donator. Additionally, they want to obtain information on the pet that they would get rescued. This can include the name of the pet, the type or types of pets that have to be rescued from the Donator. The age of the pet. You may include any additional attributes that you may see as relevant to the database. Just remember, do not make it over complicated.
The Agency has Staff that picks up Animal Pets from Donators and brings them into a Center for Rescue. A Center has a name, location, phone, contact person, and email.
A Staff Member also has a name, different email addresses, different phone numbers, home address, and official internal employee number.
The Agency has Rescuers that want to take the responsibility of caring for a Donated Animal Pet. The Rescuers also have a name, different email addresses, different phone numbers, home addresses, and an official internal identification number.
A Staff Member can pick up an Animal Pet from a Donator or Deliver an Animal Pet to a Rescuer.
The Agency coordinates or manages transportation resources to assist in transporting rescued animal animals from one point to another. The vehicles transporting the animals may be a vehicle owned by the agency, an individual person donating the use of the vehicle, or an organization donating the vehicle's use. The transportation vehicle may be a car, van, bus, or aircraft.
Both the pickup point and delivery point may be a shelter or an individual donating or adopting animals. The transposition
The date and time are scheduled for an Animal Pet to Pick up.
The date and time are scheduled for an Animal Pet delivery to a Rescuer.
- For this assignment, students have the option of creating the ER Diagramming model in either Chen Modeling Notation or Crowfeet Modeling notation
- All ER Diagrams must be submitted in a PDF.
- I published an Announcement in Canvas named "ER Diagram Guidelines ". Students should review the ER Diagram Guidelines Document before starting this assignment.
