The Property Management Firm Example
In this Assignment we will create an ER Diagram using the Chen stencil. We look at creating a database design for a small Real Estate and Property Management firm. The primary Entities that we will examine are a Seller, a Buyer,a Renter, a Property, and an Agent. We will create some Relationships associated with these entities. We will also examine creating attributes for these entities, selecting entity identifiers, and creating Foreign Keys.
In Class, we will create an ER Diagram using Chen Notation that illustrates Entities and Relationships described in the requirements listed above. You can use use the modeling tool of your choice. Currently we should have reviewed using both Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Word to create ER Diagrams using Chen notation.
Submit the ER Diagram in PDF Format. Files that are not submitted in PDF format will be considered as not being submitted and will receive zero points for the assignment
If you are unable to attend class for an in class practice assignment, you may participate in the assignment from a distance. I will keep the assignment open for a couple of days after the in class demonstration. It your responsibility to research the knowledge necessary to complete the in class demonstration.
