QUICKSTART GUIDE

1st, Pertinent information (including Syllabus and Text info) can be found on my Distance Education Webpage http://faculty.ccp.edu/faculty/sgramlich/distance/distance.htm

2nd, Purchase the PearsonMyLab MyStatLab Access code (ISBN-10: 0321694643) at either PearsonMyLab.com ($95.20 as of Summer 2014) or the CCP Main bookstore ($123.55). PearsonMyLab contains the viewable text online ("Elementary Statistics," 12th Edition by Mario F. Triola, Boston: Pearson/Addison-Wesley, ©2014) so a printed textbook is optional.

3rd, Login to PearsonMyLab.com.

You will need to create a username and password (as per the video above). Register the same name as used in the CCP registrar (no nicknames!)!

The Course ID is: gramlich####

If you do not have or able to buy the access code yet, you can get a Temporary Access Code for 14 days (linked at the bottom after you enter the Course ID).

4th, After you gain access to PearsonMyLab, run the MyStatLab "Browser Check" (found at the bottom after you click "Course Home" on left margin in PearsonMyLab) and install all the necessary plug-ins (Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash Player, and Java) to your computer (CCP computers already have these).

Finally, Read Directions for Doing PearsonMyLab Assignments and enjoy all the resources that PearsonMyLab has to offer so you can successfully learn Statistics. Use the Canvas Modules (on Left) as a guide.

If you do NOT log into PearsonMyLab and open "Ch1 Assignment1" by <TIME>,<DAY>, <DATE>, then your attendance will be reported to the registrar as "Never Attended" and you will be withdrawn from the course.

College policy states that students missing more than 2 weeks worth of semester work (1 week in Summer Session) may be withdrawn from the course.

Complete PearsonMyLab Assignments 1, 2, & 3 by <TIME>,<DAY>, <DATE>.

Complete PearsonMyLab Assignments 4, 5, 6, 7, and Final Exam by <TIME>,<DAY>, <DATE>.

NO EXCEPTIONS BEYOND THESE DATES!

So do NOT ask for extensions.
