Introduction to Sociology seeks to understand the social nature of humans and the social world in which they live. We will analyze topics such as culture, socialization, social groups, social institutions, stratification, the family, gender, sexuality, race and ethnicity, social deviance, social change, inequality, technology, and education. Both Western and non-Western cross-cultural comparisons are provided throughout the course.
