What is the Center for Male Engagement (CME)?

CME is a space that provides males of color with academic and non-academic support. It is a space that helps students develop their skills and become a part of the CCP community.

How can I get into the CME program?

There are two ways a student can get involved:

through the summer enrichment program that brings in first-time students
by signing up in fall or spring by the end of week 3

You need to be enrolled in at least 6 credits to join the CME program

What happens once I am accepted to the CME Program?

Once a student is in the program, they receive the following support services:

a Support Coach to help students navigate life on and off campus
academic support focusing on English, math and science
career development workshops and career conversations with mentors
leadership skills development
personal life skills including financial literacy, budgeting, self-care considerations (food, exercise)
team building activities with other CME participants
preparation for life after CCP including transfer to 4-year institutions
discussion sessions about social justice issues
a chance to take part in a paid internship program
